Status & Updates on the New Card Editor

Issue Still Open: Migrating Data
We are currently migrating all of the data from the old system to the new card editor. This includes personal fonts and signatures, PicturePlus images, custom cards, campaign cards, and the cards sent action log which includes the previews of all previously sent cards.
This is a huge amount of information and is the primary reason we chose to offer both sites for a period of time. If you can't find something in the new editor but that is in the old system, rest assured it is on the way.
Why Did I Receive a "Username Required" Error?
In many cases this issues has already been solved. We are still being informed of a few SendOutCards users who are receiving this error and have discovered that if you clear the "cookies" on your computer, this error message will no longer occur. You can clear your cookies by loading your internet browser (e.g. Firefox or Internet Explorer) and going to "Tools" and then "Clear Private Data" at the top of the screen. Make sure just the box for "cookies" is checked and click "Clear Private Data Now."
Is the New Gift Account Walkthrough Available on all Browsers?
Yes, it is accessible from your Card Manager Main Menu and should work on all supported browsers. From now on, when new prospects are sent to your banner (www.sendoutcards.com/yourID), they'll be able to go through the new gift account walkthrough and use the new card editor.
When I Create a Card, Why Doesn't it Display in the New Editor?
We've heard that some people are having this problem and that their cards are being displayed on the old card editor only. This will be taken care of as we migrate information onto the new editor and will be completely cleared up by the time the transition period ends and no information will be lost.
*Make Sure to Delete Your Company Name From the Address Field
We've become aware of an issue dealing with the return address field. In the past, we did not print your company name on your return address even if you filled out the "Company Name" field, so many people added their company name on the address field.
With the new card editor, if you add text into the Company Name field, it will now be printed onto with your address on your envelopes. If you have added your company name into the address field in the past, make sure to adjust this to the correct field so your cards will be printed properly. Otherwise you may have your company's name printed twice.
What Happened to the Card Editor Webinar Walkthrough?
Due to the huge response to our webinar tonight, we literally overloaded the server hosting the meeting which ended the call. The walkthrough was instead recorded and is accessible on our Stay Connected page.
How Can I Access The New Editor?
As of January 6, 2008, 9 p.m. MST the new card editor is available! You can access the new editor on the homepage, and also from the main menu after logging in.
How Long is the Transition Period?
For about 10-14 days, we'll be in a transition period where the new editor will be available only through the two links mentioned above. After we have migrated all the important data for your accounts to the new editor, we'll switch everyone over to the new editor, permanently. When you log into your account from the homepage, you'll find yourself in the new editor.
What About People Who Join During the Transition Period?
Anyone who joins during this time period will receive the new walkthrough and will be given access to the new card editor only. You won't even have to worry about re-training them.

Hey Guy's I am excited about the new walkthrough are'nt you?
I heard (unofficially) that the video for the walk through is migrating to SOC from the production company, which means by about 3pm MST it will go live...however I am watching a new prospect go through a GAW as I write this because Kody works for me 24/7!!! AINT IT COOL.
Also I have noticed when making a new Picture Plus card it doesnt automatically show up in the new editor I asked about this and was told it is because of the migrating data issue while using both editors, it will be nice when we go all in on the new editor... Peace Out Super Dave
It is very exciting to be able to speak with some of the people in our SendOutCard organization in Las Vegas, Tennessee, Australia, and Canada and all go through the new card manager over the phone all at the same time. What an awesome opportunity Kody and everyone at SendOutCards have given us.

I just love the new editor. I sat down to send a card and loved it so much I didn't want to stop sending so I sent three more!!
I do hope we will be able to edit the default text on the inside though. I liked that feature on the old editor. But I surely don't want to go back to the old one.
We wanted to respond to the question above about changing the default text on the inside of cards. This is actually still possible. Just select "Add/Remove Pictures" after selecting the panel with the default text, and select the "Text Only" layout. The default text will be gone and you can add whatever message you would like.

This has been a massive task and everyone at SOC has done a fabulous job! Having seen the "preview of what's to come" on the 2008 cruise and a VIP that was able to Beta test the early versions, all I can say is WOW! You guys are AWESOME! You were able to add the suggestions and fix the glitches, and release the new Card Editor in record time! It's an incredible tool and makes sending a card so easy, inexpensive and customizable that everyone will want to sign up! THANK YOU!!
